Questions owners ask

What is the Scoreboard Check?

A five-minute check of the twelve Scoreboard categories from Steve Kopshaw's book From Traction to Freedom. Three questions per category mark each one green, yellow or red, then show the numbers to track and what to fix first.

What are the twelve categories?

Money: Cash Position, Profitability, Profit per Acquisition. Revenue: Pipeline Health, Sales Velocity, Retention and Expansion. Delivery: Fulfillment Quality, Capacity Utilization, Delivery Efficiency. People and System: Team Health, Execution Cadence, Founder Dependency.

How is each category scored?

Yes is 2 points, Partly is 1 and No is 0, for up to 6 per category. 5 or 6 is green, 3 or 4 is yellow, 2 or less is red. Founder Dependency turns red if half or more of new revenue or decisions still need you, as the book says.

What should I fix first?

The red categories, starting upstream: Money first, then Revenue, Delivery, and People and System. Put one to three numbers for each category on a weekly scoreboard and review it every week.

How is this different from the FREEDOM Diagnostic?

FREEDOM is the quarterly check that finds your one constraint. The Scoreboard is the weekly instrument that tells you whether you are winning. Use both.
